Lady and the Tramp: Spaghetti with Meatballs

¬ Ingredients

500g ground beef
100g bread crumbs
100g milk
1 egg
4 tablespoons of grated parmigiano
500g spaghetti
1/2 onion
400g crushed tomatoes
dried basil

¬ Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C
  2. In a large bowl, add the meat, the egg, the bread crumbs, the grated parmigiano, the milk
  3. Season with some salt, pepper and paprika and mix everything together
  4. Form the mixture into balls and place them on a baking tray
  5. Cook the meatballs for about 40 minutes, turning them halfway through cooking
  6. Cut half an onion into small pieces and sauté in a pan with a drizzle of oil, until it becomes slightly transparent
  7. Add the crushed tomatoes to the onion and some salt, pepper and basil
  8. In another pot boil the water for the pasta. Once it boils, add some coarse salt and the pasta
  9. Add the meatballs to the tomato sauce
  10. Once the pasta is cooked, drain it and add it to sauce
  11. Mix it well and then serve it
